The first violin part is technically simplified and introduces new rhythms.
The duos in this volume were designed to be taught in conjunction with the Yellow Pages of Basic Violin Playing, but as with all Colourstrings tutorials, they can also be used independently.The Yellow Pages introduce and teach new rhythms, rhythm combinations, time signature and other rhythm elements. The duos make the new rhythm notion artistically enjoyable through chamber music.The first violin part is technically simplified (as to left hand) and has mainly first and second finger patterns (in the first position). It is therefore recommended that the child play this part. The more demanding second violin part should be played by the teacher or a more advanced pupil. The duos can also be practised and performed by violin groups.
